At my last rental home, I kept a home log. I kept a notebook with all information about the home, repairs, dealings with the agents, etc. For the entire year at my last rental I had five entries. Five entries total. The agent was fabulous.
We just moved into a new rental and I have 19 entries in less than a month. The agent was untruthful to me yesterday, so I did some research and found that this management company has horrible reviews. I decided that my home log book might not be enough anymore and will be keeping the physical log as well as this blog.
I will also be submitting the link in the "tenant portal" online website that this company has set up for tenants. I don't really know who reads that, or if this will result in some kind of retaliation.
